The Proposed Site
Go to: The Proposed Site
PEZ is currently seeking a site for a City Farm (Sustainability Demonstration Site) in the Adelaide metropolitan area. The proposed site is located adjacent to the Old Adelaide Gaol (~1 acre of land). The slightly larger triangle (~1.5 acres) within the rail yards is proposed as being suitable for an orchard and water harvesting area.

Hi Eric and Aaron,
In the light of the recent meeting should The Site description still read:”The City Farm will be located adjacent to the Old Adelaide Gaol (~1 acre of land)” or would it be more appropriate to say that PEZ is “looking for a site in Adelaide” or, as the text below the images suggests: “proposed site”
cheers
Annemarie

Thanks for the feedback Annemarie. I have updated the site description.
While there is still the possibility of locating PEZ at the Old Adelaide Gaol, we are also pursuing the possibility of collaboration with the Botanic Gardens around their proposed Kitchen Garden and Wetlands Scheme, near Hackney Road.
In the meantime, PEZ is likely to operate in a virtual sense – i.e. simply utilising existing school and community gardens as venues for hands-on permaculture education programs.
Cheers,
Eric
